Choose Your Track
Both stand on their own and can be read separately
We split the material into two tracks because each one calls for different skills. Growing without soil and raising fish at high density both rest on numbers, but they are not the same numbers.
If you plan to run aquaponics, combining a fish pond with plants in one flow, you need to master both.

Fish Farming Training
Raising tilapia and catfish at high density, from water quality to harvest and transport.
- Water Quality

What Makes This Material Different
Four things we held to while writing it
Numbers, not guesswork
Every recommendation comes with its working range, its units, and the reason behind it. Including formulas and worked examples you can copy straight away.
Fully open
No locked modules, no registration form, no request for your phone number.
Easy to read on a phone
Every table and diagram adjusts to a small screen, so you can open it standing in the garden or at the edge of the pond.
Free to use for teaching
Copy it for farmer groups, school modules, or extension material, just credit the source.
Questions Before You Start
The ones asked most often
What is the difference between the hydroponics track and the fish farming track?
The hydroponics track covers growing vegetables and fruit without soil, from choosing a system and sowing to blending nutrients and steering the growth of fruiting plants. The fish farming track covers raising tilapia and catfish at high density, from water quality and biofloc to feed and harvest.
Both stand on their own and can be read separately. But if you plan to run aquaponics, combining a fish pond with plants, you need to master both.
Which track should I start with?
The one you are working on now. The two tracks do not depend on each other, so there is no required order.
If you are not running either one yet and want to choose, hydroponics gives results faster and its mistakes are easier to fix. Fish farming brings a higher sale value per unit of area, but its mistakes unfold far faster and often cannot be undone.
Is all of it really free?
Completely free. No cost, no registration, no phone number or email address to hand over, and no locked modules.
We opened it up because gardens and ponds that are run properly benefit everyone, including the people who buy the produce.
Is there a certificate after finishing the modules?
No. This is open reading material, not a certified training program, and we do not want to suggest otherwise.
What you take home is the material itself. Copy it to teach farmer groups, put together school modules, or make extension material, as long as the source is credited.
Does this material only apply to the Cirebon area?
No. The principles hold anywhere, and most of the numbers are working ranges used widely in hydroponics and freshwater fish farming.
What needs adjusting is whatever depends on the local climate, mainly the number of fertigation cycles, the shade net schedule, and pond water temperature. Cirebon sits in the hot lowlands, so if you are in the highlands, the numbers will shift.
