Working notes from the field, not theory copied out of a book

Most hydroponics guides stop at general explanation. What rarely gets written down is exactly what decides the result in the field: how long seedlings may stay in the nursery, how many fertigation cycles during the rainy season, when to remove the lower leaves, and how to tell bacterial wilt from Fusarium wilt with nothing but a glass of water.

The six modules below contain those things, as numbers and actions you can carry out tomorrow morning.

Fully open

No locked modules, no registration form, no request for your phone number.

Numbers, not guesswork

Every recommendation comes with its working range, its unit, and the reason behind it.

Easy to read on a phone

Every table and diagram adapts to a small screen, so you can open it while standing in the field.

Free to use for teaching

The Learning Order We Suggest

If you are truly starting from zero

  1. Understand the system first, then buy equipment

Module 1. Many people buy the setup first, then realize the system demands attention they do not have time to give.

  2. Master the nursery before planting a lot

Module 2. Try one tray first. A bad seedling will never become a good plant.

  3. Learn to measure, not to guess

Module 3, read it with an EC and pH meter in your hand. Use the AB Mix calculator for your own reservoir.

  4. Keep things clean from day one

Module 5. Reading it before you have a problem is far more useful, because almost all of it is prevention.

  5. Only then move on to advanced techniques

Module 4 and Module 6 after one of your growing cycles has gone well.

Equipment You Need to Prepare

These four decide the outcome, the rest can come later

EC or TDS meter

Without it, you cannot apply any of the numbers in the modules. This is the first purchase, not the last.

pH meter

A pH value that is off locks up nutrient elements even when the solution holds enough of them.

A reliable pump and power supply

For NFT and aeroponics, prepare a backup before you sow the seed, not after.

Mixing container and measuring tools

A measuring cup and a needleless syringe. Half a milliliter of difference in a small volume already shifts the EC.

Start small, but measure seriously

One pond or ten planting holes with neat records teaches far more than a large operation run on guesswork. It is the daily log that later tells you what changed when something goes wrong.

Questions About This Training

Before you start reading

Is this hydroponics training really free?

Completely free. No cost, no registration, no phone number or email address to hand over, and no locked modules.

All of the material is open on this page and can be read straight from a phone or a computer.

Is this material suitable for a beginner who has never grown anything?

Yes. Module 1 and Module 2 are written for people who have never touched a hydroponic setup at all, and every term is explained the first time it appears.

Module 4 and Module 6 ask more of you, but they are still useful as a picture of where your skills will go.

What is the minimum equipment I need?

An EC or TDS meter, a pH meter, a pump with a reliable power supply, and a container for mixing the solution.

Meters are what beginners skip most often, even though they matter most. Growing hydroponically without meters is like cooking without tasting.

May this material be used for teaching or for putting together school modules?

Yes, and you do not need to ask permission. Many teachers look for material for the student profile strengthening project and for craft subjects, and this material was put together so it can be used that way.

We only hope the source is mentioned, so your readers can find the latest version along with its calculators.
